With Roommate Matching, solo Travel Addicts can choose double occupancy, complete a short questionnaire, and let our team make every reasonable effort to pair them with another traveler.
Our goal is to make traveling solo a little easier and help more Travel Addicts say YES to the experiences they’ve been dreaming about.
No need to wait on everybody else to say yes before you book the trip.
How It Works

Here are five easy steps to get it done.
Book the trip. Complete the form. We’ll help with the roomie part.
1. Choose your trip
Select the Melanin & Stamped experience you want to join and review the available room options.
2. Select Double Occupancy
Choose the double occupancy package so you can be considered for roommate matching.
3. Select Roommate Matching
Select the Roommate Matching option during booking so our team knows you would like to be considered for a match.
4. Submit your payment
Secure your reservation by submitting your deposit or payment through the booking page.
5. Check your email
After booking, check your inbox for the Roommate Matching Questionnaire. Be sure to check spam or junk folders too.

Once the questionnaire is submitted, our team reviews each response and makes every reasonable effort to pairtravelers who may be a good fit.
Introductions
Meet your roomie
When both travelers have paid at least 60% of their individual reservation balances, your Client Experience Coordinator will make the introduction by sharing contact details.
From there, you can say hello, get comfortable, and talk through anything that will help you both feel prepared before sharing aroom.

A few things to know before choosing Roommate Matching.
Matches Depend on Availability
Roommate matching is only available when another eligible traveler is also participating in the program.
We’ll Do Our Best to Find a Good Fit
Your questionnaire helps guide the process, but compatibility, friendship, and a perfect match cannot be guaranteed.
Balances Must Reach 60%
Both travelers must pay at least 60% of their individual reservation balances before contact information is shared.
Communication Matters
We encourage matched roommates to connect before traveling and talk through preferences, habits, and anything that may help make the shared room experience smoother.
Room Changes Are Not Guaranteed
A different roommate may be requested, but cannot be guaranteed. Choosing single occupancy instead is subject to availability and the additional single-room cost.
Assignments May Change
Cancellations, payment status, reservation changes, and availability may require roommate assignments to be adjusted.
Your Reservation Is Still Yours
Each traveler remains responsible for their own reservation, payments, and travel requirements regardless of their roommate’s status.
